Very nice work Iain, looks great. I don't have a smart phone at the moment but I'm due an upgrade in January so will hopefully be able to test this out soon.

 Re: Gumpcom μ
Really cool Iain, I always thought a Gumpcom app would be nifty. If I can help with my iPhone 3G in any any way then give me a shout.

 Re: Gumpcom μ
Sorry, seems I didn't make it clear enough that this is just a mock-up, a prototype of what it could look like that doesn't use the Gumpcom DB in any way. So yeah, a real version would have to be able to log in, pull down the real list of posts, user information, etc etc. Potentially quite a big undertaking, I put this little prototype together this afternoon just to see what it was like to develop web apps for the iPhone.
Glad you guys like it. I'll speak to Gumpo about getting access to the Gumpcom test server (assuming it's still aboot) in order to develop the server side hooks I'd need in place to make this real.

 Re: Gumpcom μ
This is awesome , but it's not something I would use . Partly because I use my mobile for very little beyond making calls and taking pictures. The closest I would get to using Gumpcom on the move is using my mobile phone as a modem for my laptop to get the full fat website.

 Re: Gumpcom μ
im not 100% what your plans are but being able to actually search the forums for certain topics would make it a little better.

 Re: Gumpcom μ
i was thinking more in finding information in certain situations or looking for certain posts in a hurry - i can easily go through every post and thread if i have enough time but there is info on the forums that can be used in certain situations.
Anyways it was just a suggestion and it would be good to check on the forums on the go rather than have to wait until i get to my MacBook or a P.C. someplace.

 Re: Gumpcom μ
This is a good thing. If it didn't work in IE7, even better.
